DRONE VOLT, expert in embedded artificial intelligence and manufacturer of professional civil drones, announces the acquisition of the assets of the Danish company VIKING DRONE (www.viking-drone.com).
DRONE VOLT continues to deploy its acquisition strategy by acquiring the assets of VIKING DRONE, a Danish company specialized in the manufacture of connected drones for developers and integrators. While the amount of the transaction remains confidential, the Group specifies that the transaction will be paid entirely in cash.
VIKING DRONE has developed a very high-tech, compact drone, designed to adapt to different types of payloads. With a very sober design, this drone benefits from a computer equipped with an NVIDIA module facilitating the integration of artificial intelligence, thanks to stereoscopic cameras allowing the implementation of anti-collision algorithms.
In order to accelerate the pooling of the two companies’ know-how, DRONE VOLT has already integrated the three engineers who created VIKING DRONE into its R&D teams.
Thanks to the capital increase carried out in December 2021, DRONE VOLT now has the financial means necessary to finance its development, and therefore intends to continue its policy of targeted acquisitions, like the one announced today, with the aim of integrating new technologies, developing its services and strengthening its market share. As a reminder, the Group had already announced its first external growth operation of the year in January 2022, with the acquisition of SKYTOOLS, a company specialized in distribution and services by drones in the Netherlands.
